Yep !

Try s10 forum , you will find lots of LS swaps there into dimes.

Sounds like a cool project, i bet a 5.3 / 5 speed in an s10 would not only be fun to drive, but should pull down some good MPGs too.

If you can find a complete setup out of a truck with wiring harness it would be the best way. An auto would be simpler if you are already auto on the s10

Current Performance. 727-844-7570. They're really good about LS swaps in the S-10 and Colorado. They're also located in Port Richey, FL.

It's 5 speed with v8 but I can do auto for 5.3. I wonder how I can hook up
Linkage for auto shift. I can mount b.m. Shifter on floor for auto 4l60e

You could do that. It's more preference than anything.

Nobody has been able to get the column shifter to work with a LS automatic swap. You can swap with a 5 spd if you get the 5 spd from behind a LS motor. The shifter hole will even line up between the trucks.

Current performance sells conversion motor mounts, headers and wiring harness for the swap.

If you get the a/c lines from a 4.3L s-10 and a conversion brackets Dirty Dingo Motorsports
You can even keep your a/c, yes it will clear the hood

PS - aluminum LS motors weigh about the same as the original 2.8L V6.
