well with that whole downpipe deal mabey header would be the better route, honestly the dude that owned it before me hacked up the exhaust big time. not to mention the 2 bolt flange on the downpipe definitley seems like its seen better days lol. im not looking for anything quick by any means its just a DD and is keeping my blue truck from seeing winter which is all i really care about. figured if this motor ever pops ill probably just do a mild 4.8/t56 combo

All this 2.2L S10 talk has seriously got me thinking about buying the dead 97 from my brother, building the 2.2L a little and running it until I can do an LS-swap.

Anyway, I based my decision to buy a header for my Corsica on the results from the S10 guys, who have to overcome way more weight and size just to move around.

I'm expecting good results on my car, but I've got a header, 1.6 full roller rockers (Skip White brand stainless steel) and I cleaned up the intake and exhaust ports. After that, I'm gonna be working towards turbocharging the lil' bastard.

speaking of 2.2s what do you guys have for oil pressure? mine hot is at 20 at idle n under wot is about 45. seems to low to me

mine was good on 10psi wot for a year and like 5 at idle.. then it dropped to nothing one day and well still drove it another 15 miles before it threw two rods.. this was before knowing enough about internals lol... still didnt knock till it tossed the rod

My s10 will idle at 60psi cold, drops to 20psi nice and hot. But will run atleast 35-40psi when driving and goes upwards of 60psi beating on it.

mine idles around 50 and WOT should be around 80...it has a LS2 though lol

8.1...ouch man lol and black that doesnt make me feel near as bad but i think its time to throw some lucas hd oil stabablizer up in this bitch lol. i found a jug of 10w40 in the back so mabey thats what the previous owner ran in it...ive got no idea. and tx as soon as i saw that i was like ohhhh great my turdbox is about to pop lol...then i saw the keyword ls2 in it lol
