Default problems with headers

hey my buddy just got some dynomaxx headers, high flow cats, and a borla catback on his 2000 lightning, and now he's having some problems.. i drove it, and when you get on it, it seems like it is missing when you get into boost. it is fine n/a, and then it seems like it is hesitating when in boost. we pulled the codes, and one of them was an overboosting code, and the other was a p1000, which said in the manual, more driving required. is he gonna need to get this thing dyno'd, or will it learn itself out eventually?

It will teach it's self. Have him pull the CP's and Plugs and check them out. Ohm the CP's if you can. Sounds like a weak one to me. The P1000 will stick around for awhile as well, don't worry about that one. Common emissions code we all get.

Yes, Coilpacks. Sorry, lol. They should ohm to ~1.0 on the low side and ~5k on the high.

if its hesitating in boost i would check the plugs first thats usually the easiest fix, then i would check the tune.
