Default lightning build

So I am going to start doing all the things I have been wanting to do to my L but I have a few questions before I start the build.I want to have a heads and cam set up witch would be the best way to go?jdm makes a rebuilt kit that is the same parts that are used to build their short and long blocks what would be benifit in buying the short block then me just buying the rebuild kit? Would I even need to rebuilt it if I'm wanting heads,cams,KB 2.6,and maybe a small shot of nitrous?sorry if it sound a little confusing.

Thanks
Daniel

heads and cam = fine
KB = fine
nitrous = fine

any combo of the above = stock shortblock becomes a ticking time bomb.

forged rods and pistions are definitely needed.

How fast are you wanting to go with this truck? Be sure to consult whoever will be tuning it and what your goals are. Heads and cams will do a lot with either the KB or the nitrous. The nitrous will work twofold with either the KB or the Eaton. It will cool the intake charge (a big problem) as well as the other benefit of nitrous. A 75 shot you may see 100whp or more.
