Will this cam work well with my 4.8...

If I could do it over again, I would have just swapped in a 6.0. I spent about 2g's on my motor, and yeah its quick, but a 6.0 with the same mods is a lot faster. I plan on going with a 370... same setup I have now. my cam is a 226/236 with a 110 lsa... sounds sick.

yea i would like too, but i do plan on building a 402 in the future but for right now i just want a little bit more power for the 4.8 and all its going to cost me is around $300 for cam, springs, push rods, ls7 cam sprocket, and gaskets etc. and after all my truck don't have but 5,000 miles on it so i think ill wait a little bit before a motor swap...

I tuned a local 4.8 RST 5sp with that exact cam.
It would not start pulling good till about 4800 rpm. I would fell like small shot of nitrous.
Shifting at 6700 and still pulling.
I think it is to big of a cam for a 4.8, unless you plan on reving to the sky, lol

I have a 216/220 in my 5.3 and I like it. but I'd upgrade to that cam.
One thing to consider is the amount of low end the 4.8 does not have, and how much LESS it will have with that cam.
It won't matter as much with the gears and stall, but it's something you should consider.

now your splitting hairs. Dont mean to seem like a douche but a bigger cam is a bigger cam. Your 4.8 will hurt bad down low. I have a 221/221 in my 4.8 right now and it is pretty ******* down low. Go with the smaller of the two untill you are ready for a 6.0.

yea i understand that, i already hurt down low with my 3.23's thats why i stated that i was going to eventually do 3.90's or 4.10s with prob a yank 3200 stall to help it down low along with a good all around torquer cam, ive already decided i was going to go with the 216/220 its basically a good all around cam, it kicks in pretty soon and i feel like it will be nice with my stall and gears...i had a fairly large cam in my 5.3 in my sig below and it was pretty sluggish down low until i did gears and a stall then i was turning 1.8, 1.7 60fts and was pulling real good up top..
