Default Will this cam work well with my 4.8...

ok guys i got a buddy of mine who has a cam similar to the one i had in my old 5.3 which i was happy with but now that i got a 4.8 just curious to what kind of power it will give it, im getting the cam and push rods at a pretty good deal that i can't pass up, the cam is a texas speed comp 228/228 .588"/.588" 112lsa, i know its a pretty large cam but being that my 4.8 has good flowing 243's already on it and that in the future im planing to do 3.90's and a yank 3200 i think it will run alright but just wanting to get some opinions, thanks

****EDIT***

sorry guys forgot to update the sig, i have a 07 rcsb nnbs 2wd 4.8 that it will be going in

I wouldn't do it. if your going to void your warranty with a cam you might as well do a 5.3, 5.7 or 6.0 swap. you can find them for a pretty good price if you look around. i would look at trading that thing for a 220/220 cam if you plan on sticking with the 4.8

thats a good cam.....but i still would not trade it !!!! stick with the tsp cam and get gears and stall...... and u will have some nice power. i still think the new motors on these new trucks are way more powerful than the classics
