Default Why not ISKY?

Did a search on hear, and LS1. Just wondering why nobody on hear but me is running ISKY? They are a well known American company that has been around since the 1950's. It is family owned, and operation, not a huge corporation outsourcing valvetrain components, and cam cores to foreign countries. Everything they sell manufactured hear in the USA, of American material including their valve springs. I have suggested Isky components to people on this site in the past, but no one seems interested. Is it because I or Isky isn't a sponsor on hear? Advertisement? No one has ran fast with an Isky in a LS1 yet? Or is the the Isky product thought of as inferior, and old technology? Im just curious because I, and other people I know have had really good luck with them.

Yeah your right about nobody using Isky cams. I assume it is because they aren't a sponsor on the site and they don't advertise to the the newer model Chevy crowd as much as they do the traditional small and big block Chevys. Isky has always been top notch.
They do have a full line of products for the "LS1 series" as they call it.

Iskederian camshafts, sure I've heard of them. How much R&D they have wrapped up in their lobe profiles for LSx based engines I don't know about. That's why I chose COMP.

i thought the same about lunati.
i hadn't heard of a lot of people using their cams or other components besides cranks.
and they seem to have a good quality product too.
now i'm seeing a lot more people using their cams in their trucks.

If you go on line they have a mini catalog that is all LS1. They have some mild low lift cams, then listed below are some new more aggressive lobes that are really nice. They range from 206@.050'',.553'' up to 260@.050, .640''. There are some 242~248@.050, .670'' lobes too. They are all custom grind due to everyone's needs are a little different. My cam was a custom grind along with my new cam. No big deal, took about a week.

I know they are very pop for the old school guys, just not to alot of the new age people. They are kinda along the lines of Howards racing cams, rods, cranks. When we were building our motors for the boat, we started researching and found that they were around forever, made top notch products, like ISKY so we decided to use there cranks(billet) and rods. I guess just because the comp name is thrown around more then ISKY(iskenderian). It isn't only here but how many comp stickers you see compared to Isky ones. I have noticed that more ford guys use isky then gm guys thowe..

I agree Isky and Lunati are primarily known for old school solid lifter camshafts and I am sure everyone will have a slice of the LS pie soon enough.
