i have a 2010 5.3 crew cab, I tow alot of weight at times
i have a 26' v nose enclosed trailer, combined weight ranges from 13,000-16000lbs depending
few weeks back i was hauling upstate with AC on in 90*heat. I do have a intercooler in front of AC condensor and rad
truck has 34" rad
with AC on ect hit 230* with AC off it would hit 215
on normal days were its not so humid or hot it never leaves off the 210 on the gauge even with AC on
also youre 4l60 is creating alot of heat and if you are going thru the rad its going to heat up the coolant as well

GeorgeC, you say you have an intercooler in front of the radiator and condenser. Is your truck turbo? Or are you saying an additional trans cooler?
I am not worried so much about the absolute temp, as I am the fact that it always runs 170-180 and towing it goes up to 210 and doesn't come down even towing at 60 mph on flat ground. Adding the trans cooler will help, sounds like it will help more than I thought.

210 is fine for towing
