I think I am going to go with a set of vortec heads (great tq) and a FTI cam. should be able to build it for under $4000. I will have the tranny built while the motor is out, right now the shifts are sloppy

goals are 450-500 lb ft

I have a 1992 Suburban with a TB 350/5.7 that I've thought about stroking to a 383. Will the vortec heads work with the TB and intake manifold?

Thanks,

Steve

This intake manifold will allow the use of teh L31 truck vortec heads, the iron Largeport Bowtie Vortec heads, the iron small port Vortec Bowtie heads and the fastburn aluminum heads with teh stock TBI throttle body system.

here it is http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/perform...CATID=995.html

You can use a 4 barrel intake and buy an adapter plate for it. That is what I did.
