Default 5.3 vs 5.7 vs 6.0 crank?

Are the cranks for these 3 the same or different? If not the same what are the specs on each?

And the 6.0L has a fatter flywheel end so requires different TQ converter spacing.

They are all a 3.622" stroke crank. But like Nate said some cranks, like the 6L, have a thicker main sealing surface at the back of the crank. They are all great cranks that have the capability of taking ALOT of abuse.

The 1999 and 2000 LQ4 (6.0 L) cranks were only in the 2500 series vehicles and were only mated to the manual or 4L80E transmission and the rear flange is thicker than the 2001 and later engines. Beginning in 2001, the LQ9 (6.0 L) was installed in the Escalade and Denali and later in the Silverado SS. These 1500 series vehicles used either the 4L60E or 4L65E transmission and needed a shorter flange on the output end of the crank. GM Powertrain started making all of the 6.0 L cranks with short flanges like that used in the 4.8/5.3/5.7 L versions. If the engine (LQ4/LQ9) was to be mated to the 4L80E or 4L85E automatic, they simply installed a spacer plate between the rear crank flange and the flexplate.

BTW, I'm planning to build a 408 stroker using a 4.0" stroke crank next spring. All of the stroker cranks built by Lunati, Calles, Eagle, or SCAT have the thinner flange. I'll get a GM spacer to put between the new crank and the flex plate when the time comes with my 4L80E.

YES AND NO they r the same for as stroke but the 5.7 crank is litter than the rest.the center of the crank is drill on the last to strokes, making it litter.that is why i put a 5.7 crank in my 6.0, now i have a 5.3 witch i was told was just a hair litter than the 6.0 crank
