Default Thoughts on This Cam

I'm about to throw in a Comp Cam 238/242 .605/.610 114lsa. I have everything to go with it too. Just wondering if anyone had something similar and how they liked it, or if anyone had any other thoughts on this cam. Thanks.

My lq9, which is getting bored out this weekend, and I'm getting a set of milled, P&P 243s.

On a side note, you still have your SS? I never see you over on SSS.com anymore

That cam looks like it would be more at home in a 408....

BUT, you are gonna have some high static compression - high 11s I would guess. Might make it less radical.

As of now, it'll be a 370. If I find the crank isn't perfect, I'll send back my pistons for a set that'll work with a 6.125 rod and a 4" stroke, and I'll have a 408. But yea, c/r is gonna be a lil over 11:1

That's more cam than I run in BRT (yep, still got her), but then again turbos don't need much cam. It'll be healthy and probably a bitch to tune out the surging, etc., but depending on the combo it could work nicely.

Tell me what you are shooting for and I can be more helpful -- 11:1, NA or N2O? Power goals? Mainly a DD or a mixed duty?

not going for stealth are ya LOL, IMHO you will loose quite a bit of average power with that stick in a 370, if I were you and I wanted the nasty idle, yet still good torque for a dd able truck I would stay at or below low 230's like 230-233 .590 110lsa , I have a friend with a tfs 238-240 cam in his 02 ws6 m6 4.10's and it's very radical and even after tuning it isn't perfect, now a 408cid with 11-1 OH YEAH! Truck will be mainly a DD going from work and school, but I won't use it nearly as much as I do now. It'll be a 370 unless somethings wrong with the crank, then I'll go 408. C/R is gonna be a lil over 11:1 and I might add a bit of juice later on down the road, but I'm gonna stick with a n/a setup. I'd like to see 500hp but we'll see if that'll happen.
