Texas speed chop monster cam

You will hate that cam choice if you use it in that build.
You can get chop, WAY better performance, and a hell of a lot faster truck, and be far happier if you chose a smaller cam.
For example. Here is a TSP stage 3 high lift truck cam on a 110. It would be a far better choice. It's a 216/220 600 600

Keep in mind you can also alter the amount of chop with tuning and idle speed. You don't have to sacrifice everything to have chop.
That cam motion lil lope cam summit posted up should cut up pretty hard and work well too.
You would hate the 228 cam too.
As for springs, you need to do springs with ANY of these cams. Hell even your motor now probably could use a fresh set of springs. They do not get more brittle and break from higher lift cams, that's not something that happens. They are designed to be used with high lift cams and high rpm. If you try to use stock springs or basic springs then yeah they will go to **** on you. And that's besides all the valve float and power loss from using to little spring.

It’s all good, I decided to take the easy route and ordered a 350 sbc from summit that already had a cam and vortec heads on it so I could keep all my original ac and cruise setup. Already have it in and going and it sounds awesome!

I knew the cam choice wasn’t the best lol. I decided it was too nice of a truck to swap the motor in. Would of needed a new trans and rear end and didn’t feel like doing all that to something I don’t even drive in the rain. New motor is in and runs awesome tho. I’m using the left over budget from this project to throw a cam on my 05 silverado.

I hear ya man, when the list adds up to an amount that it gets to where it aint worth it or will take forever then screw it. Priority 1 is driving the damn thing.
And yeah, i wanted to hear a donkey dick cam in a C10 also lol.
Now we need pictures and smoky burnouts
