So is the Trailblazer SS manifold a good upgrade with having it ported? I will have a LQ9 spec motor with a little more compression, a mild cam, full tube headers, and mildly worked 317 heads. Yes or no, I would also be added 8.1 marine injectors

nowhere in that article does it talk about the truck ls2 mani, just the car one. Besides, you're not going to see a gain with a bigger mani unless you have more than stock mods (which they didn't). We're wanting to see how this mani does on a more extensively modded motor. I would ignore that article, it has nothing to do with nor does it apply to our topic of conversation.

I went to the track last night and ran a best of 12.7@105. my best time so far, before the stock 243's and tbss manifold i ran a best of 13.1@103. there was a 15 degree difference in temp at the track that really helped

awsome!

too bad for me that you changed heads/mani at the same time though. i dont know how much the heads would gain?

takes a good bit more power to make a jump like that, for sure.. air temps never hurt

congrats on the 12 sec slip.

Awesome slips man, I would say the manifold helped just a little. The added CR of the 243s and the cooler weather I think is responsible

So do you all think the TBSS and 90mm TB would help on my stock heads and cam LQ9?

Sure it will help, but if your not turning it into a race truck i dont see a reason. Your truck manifold is doing just fine for your setup

I'd rather do all the bolt on mods before I start tearing into the engine.

I'm curious what a ported TBSS intake and 90mm TB will provide over the stock truck intake and 78mm TB on a stock 6.0. For the price of the intake, I see it as a fairly worthwhile mod if it adds a good amount of power, like 20rwhp.

Can you use the injectors that cam with it, and what are they rated to?
