The guy ripped you off if he said he put new rings and bearings in it. There is no way he would've missed a broken piston.

its weird because the truck runs really good.. a lot of power.. so I hope its just the valve seals. If that doesnt fix it, the guy i bought the motor off said he would take care of the problem.

I hate to say it but it sounds like you got ripped off. Lucky number 7 is usually the first piston to go.

BY any chance... Can it be that the rings havent properly seated yet. Ive only put like ten or so miles on the motor...

If it spun a bearing on # 5 I would hope they put an other crank and rod in it. or maybe its a complete different engine they gave you.
