Default stroker questions

Buildin a new motor and was curious on how big of a stroke i could go on an lq9 block. can i run a 4.100" stroke or can u only run one in a tall deck block?
i guess the real question is how big cubic inch wise could i make the motor?

i know the lq4 can be bored to 4.06 with a sonic check. i wouldnt go more than a 4" stroke. that will make about a 418 I believe.

if this is for a DD, theres another thread in this section about a guy asking about using a 4.25 stroke crank. I wouldnt go crazy with it if its a DD or even if its just a weekend truck. The max I would punch the 6.0 to is a 418. But thats my opinion.

LQ4 and LQ9 blocks don't have deep enough cylinder walls to support the piston at bottom dead center w/ 4.100 stroke. If you go longer than 4.000 stroke they will use oil on a DD. Just what i've read on tech.

yea i knew the ls2 wall didnt support the piston skirt but i wasnt shure if it was the same for the lq9. its daily driven so after hearing that im definetly sticken with the 4.00 stroke. havent decided if i want to go over on the bore yet just incase i need to clean the walls later. thanks for the info
