Default Stroker.....Or Heads.....Compare End Results Please.

so, this is a bit of a blanket question, but...

what will make the most power....and the most sense.

402 stroker, with stock 317s or 243s with 224/230 645/648 110 cam. or,

stock LQ4 bottom, with some quality CNC heads...and same cam.

what do you guys think?

any stock headed strokers out there with numbers to post?

I'm going to say that with all else being equal, more cubes with so-so heads will make more power and definately more torque than a smaller engine with better heads.

Besides, spend your money on a LQ4 and heads and hit a ceiling for output. Spend your money on a good stroker shortblock with okay heads and then upgrade to better heads when money allows and you'll be way better off.

cool. i already have the 6.0 shortblock, but i have no heads. so i was going to either toss a stroker in it, or really spend some coin on some heads. but im actually leaning towards the stroker with some cheap 243 or something for now. anyone else?

I second that opinion, more cubes will net you more power with more room for growth.
