I'm w/ Stoic on this one, keep the OD, it'll help gas mileage as would an EFI mill. Just do a closeout for aesthetics. Go forward w/tech, not back. Impress people that u embraced tech not avoided. Just my .02. Good luck w/ build.

well i got a
rotating assembly 5.0 but may sale and go stock crank forged rods and pistons
heads ported with the big valves and patriot springs
ls2 intake that im doing some custom porting and epoxy work on this thing will outflow a fast 90 when im done
ssr ported tb
hsw plate good for a 200 shot
going iron block with 3.905 bore

just need cam and such
