would i be commiting the ultimate sin by putting a sbc in my truck somethin like a 383 stroker?? with an old school blower

 

what year truck? IF you are talkin about a 99-current truck, yeah its a sin.

lol im not doing it for power or anything its just by the time i do a tube frame and such i dont want all the wires and such makin everything complicated and if i just go with a ford 9inch what am i gonna do about the abs and such??

 

man don't do that, you have more off the wall ideas than i do, **** the tube chassis its an avy, leave an LS motor

If you want a tube chassis and a small block go buy an S-10 and build a drag truck and leave the poor avy alone

 

yea i know i do but i wanna build a tube chassis so i can do a nice long travel bag setup
so a 9inch or a beefed up gm 12/14?? bolt out rear
th400 tranny and a nice small block i bet i can have some fun

 

Dont do it, you will get worse gas mileage and you will never live it down.
now if you were doing a 502 merlin or something of that nature i would say go for it

 

or that nice crate 572
