I think you got your pushrod geometry all fucked up. You had the heads off, and got them milled. You need to find out if whoever put them back on compensated for that with the gaskets, then get ahold of a pushrod length checking tool, and determine what length pushrods you need. The stock length is 7.400.

I agree with everything.Definitely have no idea how to check geometry or set preload right

Preloads are .020 to .060 on stock setups and previous post about no lash adjustment is correct. Just torque to 22 ft lbs. FWIW, my 1.85:1 rockers use a Crane Cam 7.250" pushrod due to the geometry change...

.020-.060 You must be running Comp R's or Morels. Stock lifters like .080 to .120.

That's correct.. my bad.. I just put in the Comp 875-16's.... that was the pre-loads I quoted...
