questions and sugestions on my 5.3 build/setup

truck in sig w 147k on the clock i have a freash trans and converter siting in the grage and a g80 unit insatalled so im wondering what to do on the motor mods i have bolt on's so here is the run down im picking up a 2003 5.3l long block with 40k on it and what to do with it ?
I was thinking of having the heads milled down a little bit and runing a 03 Z06 cam and i also have a fast 90mm intake tb old set up off my car im going to put on the truck as well.
what to do ?

Milling the heads a little will bump compression, good for a few ponies. I think I've read that the car intakes will sacrifice low end torque for a gob more power up top. You might want to go with a larger cam and a higher stalled torque converter if you are going to do that.

im also on the look out for a Magie
what comp ratio should i be at for the blower ? i wont be doing the blower till next summer unless i get a great deal on one. i could alway's put a set of stock 5.3 heads on when i put the blower on i guess since i have a extra set ?

well ive got the motor all torn down just making shure everything was good to go i upgraded to some arp rod bolts for now only mod so far i guess next step will be the 03z06cam and ls6 springs and a good set of push rods also a set of ls7 lifters and gm gaskets will follow as well.
