Default Pushrods & Guideplates

Is it absolutely necessary to run guideplates with hardened pushrods?

My valvetrain set up will be HS 1.7 rr's, thick walled hardened pushrods, cloned sausage cam (ground for the 1.7 rr's), mp .600 springs and stock heads (slightly massaged). I dont plan on twisting this Dodge 5.2 Magnum motor past 5500/6000 rpm.

Your thoughts, opinions, suggestions, flames, bashings and insults are encouraged and welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Are you sure you ask the right question? If so the answer is NO, but the answer to the converse is YES.
