Default pulley puller??

Hey all,
Got the pulley puller on the crank pulley. It's getting really hard to turn, but I don't think it's moving. if the pulley turns is that bad? Cuz it wants to Anyways, I just want to get some reassurance that I need to just keep wrenching on the pulley puller til it starts moving..

Thanks guys,
Joschi

well, I found out I had to brace the pulley (so it doesn't turn). Everything was going well until the stock bolt wasn't long enough. So, I took the bolt out, flipped a socket around & used that as a base for the pulley puller. It seemed to work at first, but I wanted to double check that I wasn't driving the socket into the crank. That's when i realized it wasn't coming out (the socket) I'm hoping the heat from the engine made it expand & that once it cools down overnight, I'll be able to get it out! damn, I feel like an idiot!
