Default problem with head swap HELP!

Im swaping the heads on my ls1, cleaned out all the bolt holes with a straw and an air gun, I bet they were clean enuf to eat out of but when torqueing the heads down i heard a pop and it blew a piece of the block out of the bottom of the bolt hole! What do i do now? can i run it this way? do i need to pull the pan to see what happend? can i even see it if i pull the pan?

Cant really do much as far as pics cause the motor is in the truck. I wish i could see the other side, if its no bigger then the size of the bolt hole i would think the block would be ok, just kind of worried about part of the block being inside of my motor.

What do you mean? It cracked the block? It stripped threads out? Did you still have oil in the bolt holes in the block?

I cleaned the holes out good before pulling the heads on, if i shine into the bolt holes i can see the end of every one but this one is just dark i cant see the end of it. I know theres a hole there. I was doing the first 90 degrees when i heard a pop, thought the bolt snapped cause it was loose again but when i took it out the bolt was fine, no water or oil on it, stuck a wire in there and it gos in alot ferther then the rest, blow air into it i can hear the air going into the motor somewere and less back out of the bolt hole.

I'd take a pick and stick it down to see if it's really a hole. If there's a hole, then I'd get a bolt, put some of this **** on it, then put the bolt back in and run it. You've got nothing to lose at this point. I use this stuff on all my head bolts on my big block chevy as the bolts go right into the water jackets. It keeps them from leaking. If you had the holes as clean as you did though, I doubt you cracked anything. Probably just an air fart or something from the tight sealing bolt.

i would NOT run it.. you cracked one of the passages.. you will probably be having coolant in your oil when you crank it. or before you even crank it
