Default Pro Charged DD Build

have a 09 Silverado 5.3/6 speed going 408 and some boost, looking for advice, i only want to do this once. seems like most builds use BIG cam and a big stall. i wanna stay with a stock stall, maybe a LSA converter at the most. truck is used for everything from towing the boat to taking the dogo for a hair cut.

thinking 9.5/.75:1 to keep it 91/93 oct safe and 8-10psi

lq4 block
summit racing crank and rods - SUM-CR4058125
DSS pistons - K1923-4030
Summit Racing Cam - SUM-8720
218/227 112.2lsa .600 lift
ls9 head gaskets
ls7 lifters
Speed engineering 1 7/8 headers
ls3 heads (823 truck casting)
un touched
stock rockers with trunion upgrade
stock truck intake manifold
Probably stock throttle body - 87mm unless i find a good deal on one
70lb injectors

D1 procharger air to air
i know a d1 will be small on a 408 but its not a RPM monster so 6-6500 rpm max i should be fine...its a truck FFS

oil pump sugestion?
high volume vs high pressure

walbro 450 intank conversion with the CTS-V FICM programming

any input???

Remember that you have to drill and tap that older block for knock sensors and that you need the correct crank trigger on the crank for your engine.

A high pressure pump or stock will do fine. The high volumes are not needed.

We like your build list/plan. The Pro LS Truck stage 2 high-lift cam SUM-8720 will pair well with your combo. A 2,500+ rpm converter is a plus with that cam but not at all required. Agree with FFDP on the oil pump. The high-pressure Melling MEL-10295 is a popular pump.

Good luck with the build and keep the community updated.

Melling 10295 in my 408 (also LQ based) with high pressure spring. With procharger having self-contained lubrication you won't need the high volume.
