Default piston oilers

Do any of you forced induction guys use these? I know diesels have them and they do work. I know they probably aren't a necessary but for longevity maybe they would be a good idea? I can't seem to find any info or pics on this though. Dealing with a Gen I block here.

I know certain engines had them from the factory. I've heard that the Medium Duty 350 engines had piston oilers from the factory. I know the block can be retrofitted to have them but I can't find any info on where to drill, what orfice or tube or whatever was used to direct the oil and so on.

I'm aware of that too. The question isn't what has them, its how can I retrofit my block to have them.

I don't remember if it was Suzuki with their air/oil cooled street bikes or somebody (like Audi) else, they had a hole on the piston side of the rod's big end. Once per revolution it lined up with the oil hole in the crank's rod journal, and give a squirt towards the bottom of the piston.

I'm aware of that too. I don't recall what engine but there was a Ford that had a that same small hole integrated into the rods.

Again just looking for any info or pics relating to retrofitting a gen I block for piston oilers.

Can an oil line be tapped into to make something similar to the new Gen Hemis?

There was an article recently in one of the car mags about putting them in as I recall - Chevy Hi-Po or Car Craft(?). I thot I also saw a thread on here as well(?) As I understand it they can be retrofitted, but u may have to clearance some items marginally. There was never any depth of rationale attached however, and I'd like to hear more...as I see it: in the never ending quest for incremental HP, cost/hp escalates exponentially - and thus looks dubious as a retrofit IMO if u dont already have it.
