JFYI...I get 14-15 mpg with my T370 so I'm not complaining. Hopefully Thunder will chime in with what he was getting with his T408.
Spoolin, 14-15MPG, is that city or hwy? My sis-in-law CC 1500HD got 12.6 avg, bone stock. And u have power to spare.

Who said turn-key swap?!? This will be very interesting combo if u go thru w/ it. I guess that's 1 advantage the NNBS have over mine. Good potential tranny swap material.

Mine is the classic '07 but when it's available, if it's all that, I want what I want.

That's hwy and that's most of the driving that I do...LA is all fwy driving. I was getting 21-22 with my truck stock + 5.3 with 3.23's.

Yes, I believe they are 70's, however I decided to go a different route. This afternoon I ordered a 9.5 cr 370 short block. Thanks to you guys and all the great info from this and some of your other threads lately, I spec'd wiseco, hellfire rings, and callies compstar. I also ordered some Patriot Stg 111's with 2.08/1.60's, couldn't really afford anything else right now. That should get that puppy movin! Thanks again for all of your replies. I really appreciate all of you guys help.

That sounds like a very stout new engine. Congrats.

Hey, my builder said I would be better off with 2.055, 1.57 valve sizes due to shrouding I guess. LQ9's spec'd for 68cc. Does that sound right?

So stop & go, huh? Aren't LA freeways like drivin in the city, bumper - bumper, a constant PITA? That's decent mileage w/ a 5.3, must be them 3.23s.
