Default Opinions please, what mpg for 370's or 408's?

Looks like Ill probably order my short block on Monday. Because gas prices have not topped out yet, I am concerned. I am going to drive it daily so I can do what I bought it for, enjoy it. But, it just makes sense to consider the cost of operation for a DD. I have 4.10's now but still have my 3.42's in storage. I was getting 21-22 with the 5.3. Going to tighten up the converter to maybe 2600? OK guys, tell me what you think, 370 or 408!

LOL, you are considering gas mileage as a factor for your engine build? You are a fool man.

Yeah, I would like to so I can keep the costs down but I don't have to. I was thinking 10lbs with my GT 67?

Yeah probably. I should put the motor in the Vette and the ls6 in the truck, but I guess I just like the truck better as a DD.

Just seems like a silly thing to worry about when you're going to drop at least $5k on an engine. To each his own though I guess.

I can see spending on something worthwhile like the engine, that is if it lasts a while, just want to get a few miles down the road for my $75 fillup. That's why I went FI instead or NO2. It is my DD, not a race only vehicle. What do you think, which one Random.

Well I see vids of spoolin 370 setup and it really rocks. Then again there are n/a 408 guys running great times. I didn't read too far into your build, but I'm assuming you're going with a turbo? I guess it would depend on your FI plans.
