That sucks. I thought about doing a resistance weld with a bolt or something. A pin welder for body work is what I had in mind. Clean everything real good and drop a bolt the right size in the hole and hit it with the gun enough to just weld the bolt to the tube and then gently twist & pull it out.
If you drop the pan that little sucker can be tapped out backwards......
Good luck man

I broke the bracket off the tube when I was trying to get mine off now I need to go get another whole tube. Anybody know where I can get one?

The tubes are only around $20 for a new one at the stealership if I remember correctly.

I broke mine off when I put my headers on and drilled it out. Then I found the big piece that I didn't realize fell in the oil pan about 6 months later when I did and oil change. Luckily no harm done...

You know you might be able to drive it into the oil pan and leave it there & put a new tube in. The big piece probably wouldn't bother the pick up but I would worry about smaller chips.

I just had to unbolt it and wiggle and twist it and slowly work it up and out. Just take your time.

Yanking it side to side will definitely break it. Make sure you twist and just giggle. Mine broke off and the end eventually came out when i got my oil changed.

remove the bolt on the bracket at the head. Unbolt the starter and move it out of the way. Reach up in there and pull it out of the pan. go back up top and it will come out very easy.

you guys that just pulled it out SUCK

I spend 1.5 hours getting mine out when I did my long tube install. Bent it all to heck. I am from the "northern" group though.

Made a pita job of ripping off the old rusty exhaust even more of a task. It was an 8 hour job to pull of the old mainfolds/y pipe and install the long tubes/ ORY...LONG DAY!

I had a hard time with mine as well. I ended up using a screwdriver and prying at it right where the tube meets the block. Once the tip of the screwdriver got under the "lip" I was able to pry it a good 1/2 inch. Then I just pulled her out.

I heard of people using a thin metal coat hanger and bending a small yet very sharp angle hook in it, inserting it down the tube into the pan and then just pulling on it after it catches. Sometimes all you need is just a little encouragement from the other side.

Mine slid out pretty easy...but it hadn't been in there all that long. Just remember when u put it back in to make sure u press it all the way down, otherwise ull leave a nice smoke trail! Don't ask how I know...
