Default No oil press. HELP!!!!!!!!

ok guys got the new TSP shortblock in and everything else. did the two break in cycles like TSP recomends. At first start showd 40+psi and through both breakin cycles. After changing the oil and starting it to check for pressure, 40psi again, we shut it down for the night. today started right up but didnt show any pressure, weve checked everything we can think of except for pulling the front end apart. any help will be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

how long did you have oil pressure. Read about my cam swap. I had oil pressure for about 5 seconds then.....**** 0psi. Turned out to be a failed oil pump and it's a bitch to change.

I had that happen to me. Are the lifters tapping? What I did was put a positive gauge where the sending unit goes and then stated it. The engine did have oil pressure and it turned out to be the sending unit.

if the smallest bit of trash gets in the plunger of the oil pump it will dump right back into the pan. I had that happen to me on my first engine. Took the pump off and looked at the relief valve and sure enough stuck open.
