Default New Cam Swap.

Hey guys. Going to be trying something new in a few weeks and I'm looking for some input. A friend of mine has a 2010 Silveraldo LTZ Z71. We just did a base tune on it last week using EFILive. Little tweeking to the ecm and the tcm. Brought the line psi in the trans up alittle to make the 6spd shift like it should. Anyway. next on the list of power adders besides the headers and cold air that will be done in a few weeks, we are going to install a cam from an L99 Camaro SS. He doesnt want to get rid of AFM since the warranty is an issue. We both Work at the dealer, so parts and labor is cheap. Question I have, 1. Has anyone tried this? ans 2. Does anyone know the cam specs for the L99? I've been through many forums looking but cant seem to find it.
Any thoughts?

L99 cam:
195/201, .500/.492"

Never heard of anyone doing it, primarily because most of us who go through the hassle of changing the cam want something big enough that will be noticeable, and that usually kills the warranty.

Does he have a 5.3? Because if he has the 6.2 I'd bet he has the same cam already installed.

Its the 5.3L. I have read alot of threads on aftermarket cams installed and how easy it is to delete the AFM. But at this time he is not interested in that. But I think once he gets the taste of it, he"ll want to go bigger. He picked up the truck 3 weeks ago. I told him to hold out for a 6.2L or just order one, but he sold his 09 Silveraldo so he needed wheels to drive. He was originally going to get a Camaro but needed the back seat.

how did it turn out very interested in this swap. I drive my truck daily and sometimes with clients in it. I cannot have fun this time but want some pep to it. I did an ls6 in my last truck so i know how to do it, however from what im reading you dont have to change anything but the cam just unbolt and rebolt
