No need to worry bout PTV with the smaller off the shelf cams.Plus stock heads lose steam at around 550 lift.

I do have a 99(first year the LS series was put in the trucks) 4.8 w/5spd manual trans. That's only a partial list of my mods. Richard of WCCH did my heads years ago. You probably heard of him. He knows his stuff. Start with the bolt on things. Then a BIG cam. Heads would be last. The elec water pump is overkill unless you have the money(too expensive) unless you like to go fast and spin the tires shifting into 3rd. Try that sometime with a 3.42:1 if you're N/A.

i think im going to buy the blackbear tune... than ima c about the comp xr265hr it is a 212/218 duration with 522/529 lift with ls6 springs and probaly comp magnum pushrods does that sound good with stock converter? thanks alot guys

Personally i would switch up the cam a little bit... 212/218 .56x/.56x 112+4 if it were me... Texas Speed can custom gring that for you...

my setup in sig gets 21 mpg and will take down bolt on mustang gts and any 5.3 around here easily on my heavy *** 20s
