i have a 07 silverdado classic 4x4 with a 4.8 tune cold air intake jba shortys and cat deletes and it still pissses me off when i step on it i lost to a stock 5.3 sierra 4 door of my buddy what can i do to help this lil motor out?

 

Welcome to the forums. What type of tuning? You are 4x4 and the 5.3 isn't. You can ditch the shortys and get long tubes and a small shot of nitrous

 

its from a local shop e/t motorsports all the tune really did was take of the limiter n made it shift really firm sometimes it churps from 1st to 2nd

 

go with another tune. Wheatley has my lil 4.8 running mid 14s with just headers, intake, and exhaust, and the tune of course. 04 Ext cab with open diffs and 3.42s as well.

 

Lose the shorties.Get a good tune Wheatly or Blackbear.Pick up a nice circle d converter+4X4 launch.That will take care of the pesky 5.3.

 

IMO get a local tuner.. However bail on the shorties for longtubes. Other than that maybe a small cam if your budget permits

 

i've been thinking about a cam i jus dont know what to get i dont want to go to big i want something with a nice lope kinda leaning towards a ls hotcam and how does that blackbear tune work? if i order it online?
