I have an ls1 in my truck, i really like it, my mods are in my sig. It makes good mid range torque while still pulling hard to 6800, I wouldnt change a thing other then a set of stage 1 heads from texas speed. heres a little speedo clip to give you an idea of how it runs.. this is shifting at 6800.

Uhhh.....Jesus that is badass! Props brother! I'm assuming you are runnin stock crank, pistons and rods?

Heres a pic of one of the rod cap bearings....pulled a few today. Gettin another stand tomorrow so I can tear it apart. From what I can tell this was indeed a low mileage motor like I was told!

Wow they still look vary good, my bottom is all stock i just put new rings, rod bearings, arp rod bolts, and an ls6 oil pump in it, mine had more mile on it and had been run kind of hard so i went ahead and rebuilt it. My heads are milled .030 so im setting at 11-1 cr but no porting on the heads. I like mine alot iv never been to big on putting stroker kits in the ls1s cause they already have a 3.62 stroke stock with a 3.9in bore witch is vary good for a race engine, unless you can go to like a 408 but you cant bore out the ls1 block so that dont leave you with much to chose from. I vote get the stage 1 ls6 head with a v2 cam package from texas speed then go with the pro flow xt or the fast 92 intake. I think that would be a good setup.

I agree with Jake EXCEPT, smack in an MS3 cam and definitely get the stage 1 or 2.5 243 heads from texas speed.
