My Cam sucks...suggestions please..

Current motor is 404ci, PRC stage 3 LS6 heads, 8.1 Marine injectors, Fast LSXrt intake.
Current cam:
236/238 .615/.605 111LSA +1 advance
Comp Cams XFI/XE-R lobes
3017R/3729R HR111LSA +1 advance (110 installed intake center @ .050)
This thing sucks for a weekend driver. Idle is bad and very inconsistent. Any ideas?

Is idle the only issue you have with it? How is it once you get up in RPM? Sounds like the issue is more in the tune or some other detail as that cam is not what I would consider big for a 404. You might want to check the intake for vacuum leaks. I have seen several threads on warped LSXrt right out of the box.

The LSX is straight and sealed. Idle has to be 900rpm and still drops alot when put into gear and stalls unless motor is warm.
I think maybe the duration along with the LSA is the issue as the motor lopes a good bit.
Cam Valve Events 0.006 0.050 0.200
Intake Duration - ID 286 236 159
Exhaust Duration - ED 287 238 159
Lobe Center Angle - LSA 111 111 111
Intake Centerline - ICL 110 110 110
Intake Valve opens - IVO 33 8 -30.5
Intake Valve closes - IVC 73 48 9.5
Exhaust Valve Opens - EVO 75.5 51 11.5
Exhaust Valve Closes - EVC 31.5 7 -32.5
Exhaust Centerline - ECL 112 112 112
Overlap 64.5 15 -63
I think it may have something to do with the overlap as well.

I can't check AFR when i am driving. This isn't a race truck for me so I am not gonna do an LM1 and the tune may be off a bit but.
I would just like a suggestion for a cam that doesn't lope like a top fuel drag car for a daily driver style vehicle.
TSP seems to have some decent ones with better LSA's.
Might get something milder like mhotrods sig cam...

For a 404 a 228 would be nice to me a 220 seems too small. When i had my tv2 (232/234) it took some work to make it idle right, but eventually i got it right. Theres lots of help here if you need it...

Thanks. Gonna go smaller. It is a daily driver (kinda) and i can't stand the extremely choppy idle. I have had 2 different people try to tune it. Can't afford to keep spending that kinda money.

You'd probably fall in love with the idle if you get hold of somebody that can really tune the thing. That cam isn't big. I've tuned bigger and made them idle no problem on 5.7's and 402's. It really sounds like your tuners suck. With that in mind, going smaller will most likely not solve your problem because if you take it to the same tuners they most likely won't be able to get the new cam to idle either. Like several other have said, FIND YOURSELF A BETTER TUNER, not a new cam.
