Default Mti X1 Cam

My friend just pulled his MTI cam... And he said he would sell it to me for $200.. So what you guys think? will it be ok?
230/227 with .591/.571 lift on a 112 lsa

For a 4.8? Waaay too big imo. I'd go smaller and sac some upper rpm hp for torque.

yea for a 4.8 thats a little big but hey 200 bucks...good deal, then youd just need springs and a biiig stall

that would be good in something around 380ci LOL.... sounds like a nice cam and a good deal but too much for the little motor... a TR220 would be nice in there though

do it, what the hell if you don't like it you can always pull it back out, then you will have an upgraded valvetrain for the next cam you buy.

And have the tune adjusted, idle that bitch up to about 1200 rpms. lol.

That will be a tuning nightmare! Trust me. I wouldn't even put that thing in mine and I have a manual. Geez. You're looking at at least a 4000 stall to get that thing to move. If you must have a reverse split, then a 227/224 is the biggest I'd go in a 4.8, and even that's pushing it.

what does the reverse split do? but yes i agree with above, if you are installing it yourself you might as well do it to mess around cuz its not like your paying for 500-800 dollars for install and it would be a good thing to keep around. or you could just get your enginer bored and get some stage 3 heads and then slap it in there. build your engine for a cam instead of cam for the engine
