could even be just the filter!, i wouldnt worry about it unless it starts dropping more.

Mine hangs right at 40psi when warm with RP 5w30. I wouldnt worry about it, 3X psi of pressure at idle is fine.

damn, i pull 50-60psi at idle and 70+ at WOT, all stock 160kmile 4.8

mine is just a little under 40 hot at idle and wot it will not read high enough on the gauge. anyone else like that? I have logged around -/+90psi at wot

I used to cruise around in my buddy's VW rabbit that would sit at 5 psi at idle, and up around 40 on cruise.

Ya mine pegs the guage at WO too.

i think ill agree with blownchevy, warm/worn oil
before oil change mine was at 35 and after came back up to 40
use mobil 1 5w30
