man i have been waiting to see that little chart pop up again... i really should save it or something cuz it seems to answer a bunch of questions at once. good plan, stick with the 114 cuz you MIGHT want FI like you say and plus you already have it and it works out...best of luck dont forget to post up your results

I was told by thunder racing to expect only about a 6-8RWHP difference between the 112LSA and 114LSA with a 224/224 cam. But obviously, the power band will differ.

112 will yield 6-8 more hp?? and will the area under the curve be greater with a 114 although lower peak power which would yield higher ET's?

He didn't specify, I just assumed the 112 LSA was the one that would net higher HP numbers. Not sure on the HP and TQ curves...they only have a dyno from a 112LSA on their site.

im not talking about torque what im saying is althogh the 112 has higher initial number, does the 114's wider power band, although slightly less max, provide more power in a longer period of time which would inturn yield a better ET...say a 500hp car from 5500-6600 would be slower than a 450hp similar car with a power band from 4200-6400.... fictitious example only

good question, thunder racing does claim more area under the curve on their cams. I was told 2500-6K or so on the 114 LSA, didn't question the 112LSA...

they probably claim to have mroe area under their curve due to their generally higher lift than most and the lobe design. someone with the right means to do it should research or test it
