Default LSA question

I got a speed inc 224/224 .581/.581 112lsa cam from a guy on tech about a week ago and when it came in I noticed 114hr on the grind #. In another post someone confirmed that it is a 114lsa cam. My question is what will it do to the powerband? Will I have to set my shift points higher with a 114 than with a 112? Also, I ordered a 3400 fuddle stall, should I change the stall rating for a 114?

I pmed him about it, I'm not too worried about it though if it will still yield the same gains. If not I will probably sell this one and get one that is a 112. I got a pretty good price one this one and some chromemoly pushrods and they are both in good shape so I am not going to rip on him just yet.

do a search on LSA, i had a thread on it a while ago that i started i think if you wanna look and something tells me low LSA shifts the RPM up so if you got a 114 you should idle better and have more off idle power with a lower band....?

I run almost the same cam. 224/224 114 @ .578" and I idle fine at 650. Power comes on hard at 4000-6000. I have mine adv. 4 degs. You have Lt headers so will prob get slightly better low/mid torque. I wish for some.
Stall should be perfect.
112lsa might yield higher #'s over a narrower powerband.

Glad to help. In the end, you paid for a 112lsa, so if you didn't get that you have the right to a refund, IMO. Having said that, if the cam works for you on the 114, cool beans

Another thing to consider is if there is any chance you will ever go FI. If so, the 114 would be a better choice.

As of right now I am not planning on it, but if I come across the money in a year or so I might. I believe I am gonna go with the 114 and see how I like it, I could always take it out if I don't like it or send the converter in for a restall. Thanks for the input guys, really helped out in my decision.
