So I'm guessing that "LS9" springs are the new GM "performance" valve spring, or LS6,2,3,9 whatever, use the same spring...I wonder if they all carry the same part number

Talked with a tech at Lingenfelter today and he said the LS6 springs are discontinued, but they use "matched" LS9 springs now for the GT2-3 cams; matched, he explained, means measuring spring height to ensure they are tall enough, then putting those 16 together as a package. Apparently the LS9 springs are sometimes different sizes.

If the new blue LS6 springs I measured are the "LS9" spring, you don't want anywhere near .580" valve lift on them! TERRIBLE idea!

Using the yellow ones, and after reading this thread, feel much better about it.

The LS9 camshaft is 211/230 .558/.552 122.5
The GT2-3 is 207 / 220 .571/.578 118.5
They sell the gt2-3 with ls6/9 springs..
Not saying your right or wrong Matt but it is what it is and they have a pretty good rep with there builds..

Like i said before the next cam im installing is almost the same lift as the ls9 cam and im sure that vette will run a solid 200k miles on the stock springs

Yes and Yes. LS2/3/6/9 are all the same number.
