Default LQ9 6.0 Build with GEN4 Cam Conversion Question/Help?

I want to put a ZR1 GEN4 Blower Cam in my 2004 Silverado 6.0. I know I will need to do a GEN4 conversion but not quite sure what all will need to be changed.

Has anyone done this conversion?

Obviously I have the cam already. From what I've read I will need a LS2 Timing Cover with Front mount Cam Position Sensor, LS2 Valley Cover, and I believe the LS2 Timing Gear plus an extension harness to plug the Cam Position Sensor in the front cover.

Or would I just re-use the trucks old Timing Gear?

You’ve got most of it covered with your ideas of what’s needed, but a couple of things are off, such as you would use your stock valley cover (LS2 won’t fit a Gen III) and a 1X cam gear that matches the 24X crank reluctor wheel for use with your stock PCM.

If you know the specs that you want, you can always get a camshaft custom ground to match those specs and match your setup. We offer our custom grinds for $399.99. Just an alternative to having to swap a bunch of items over.
