Default Low lift cam swap W/O DOD delete

I know most of you about to give me a hard time but I just want to ask, has anyone done a low lift or mild can swap in a nnbs with DOD an left the stock DOD lifters in? Reason I ask if that I already have ls2 and ls3 valve springs, titanium retainers, new valve seals, 3 bolt sprocket& chain, arp crank bolt all from previous cam swaps on camaro/gto/tbss/ vette ect.i also have ls2, ls3 and "rob style" cam's but I was thinking about doin the ls2 springs with a tsp 212/218 or maybe 216/220 low lift an getting my tuner to turn the DOD off. Just seeing who has done it an made it. I still consider doing the dod delete kit tho.

Not saying its smart but I've been running mine that way for last 60-70k. Planning for lifter change along with custom cam this winter.
