Default Looking for specs on engine. 2000 chevy silverado ext. cab 4X4

I just got the truck, so I don't know too much about it. Its a 2000 silverado ext. cab 4x4, with the 5.3 vortec. I would like to know the stock cam specs, heads, and valve size. Right now the truck is completely stock except a magnaflox muffler. I do alot of off roading, so what do you guys recommend for bolt on's, possibly a cam swap, chips, any help would be nice! Thanks for your time.

If you do a lot of off road then you might look at gear change, locking differential and getting a good tune.

what are some cheaper upgrades for engine performance....? 1200 to spend. I have already put a fabtech 4inch lift on, with 33'' 12.50s. Gear changes are in the near future...im open to any ideas. Thanks

I would do the gear change first. you should have 4.10's at least, 4.56 even better. That will run around $1000

i dont know about a 220 with his lift and offroading desires....he'd be better off with a 212/218 highlift or something

comp's 206/212 on a 112 would be a good small cam to go with.

yea its common but a lift and 33's arent. plus he would need a stall with that and thats not optimal for offroad
