Default Which lifters and head gaskets?

Which lifters should I run when I do my head and cam swap? BTR or ls7 lifters? Should I install new trays as well? Motor has 100k on it. Also heads are 317's milled .030" on a lq9. Which head gaskets would you recommend an size? Motor is a strong N/A motor that will see a 200 shot of nitrous. It is has head studs as well.

are you wanting stock thickness gaskets? if so LS9 gaskets. lifter trays are only about 3$ per tray. lifters are up to you. LS7 or the Cadillac racing is where i would go.

After my own personal experience and seeing a few others on here with similar issues, skip the LS7 lifters and go with either the Caddy or Brian Tooley lifters.

summit racing has a lifter and tray kit for a good price. I used it in my rebuilt ls2 and they're working great. I think scoggin dickey has the same kit for around the same price too.

The issues seem to come up on aggressive cams. Over 230 duration and over .620 lift.

Would my 06 lq9 already have the ls2 version ? Is it worth to put new ones in or run why I have?

how many miles do you have on them? it's a judgement call. how often do you have the heads off to replace the lifters?
