Is the difference in the flow numbers of the stock truck intake much different than the SSR90mm intake?? would it be worth the swap?

Well, since it's not yet for sale, how could they get it to independently test it?

Anybody seen/used this intake?

Not even sure it would work on a truck but it is for LS motors

Some new info from Tony Mamo @ AFR (from a post on another site)

The reason is simple....without a high flowing head, the stock intake represents less of a restriction. The larger the restriction it becomes, the higher the gains when swapping to a deeper breathing better designed intake.

Here is a copy of a recent independent test where a customer knew he was going with a set of AFR's in his future, but wanted to get his current combo a little stronger in the meantime because obviously an intake swap is easier, faster, and less costly than a heads/cam install.

The baseline is a 99 LS1 Vette with a Vararam, lower stat, and a set of ARH headers. The longblock is bonestock with LS1 heads obviously. The car also has 0-30W Amsoil in it which is also likely worth a few more ponies and was installed already prior to the baseline run.

These are very good gains for a stock heads/cam car and when he goes with the AFR's down the road, while normally he may have gained say 40 HP, he will see an extra 10 that is still hiding from the intake swap. Most of my customers see in the vicinity of 25 RWHP with my ported FAST installs (assuming they already have a set of aftermarket high flowing cylinder heads).

Also, notice how the car makes more torque from the crack of the throttle till redline....the entire curve is enhances and Dan has commented that the throttle response from the swap is also very noticeable (much sharper) and he really enjoys that as well.

Cheers,
Tony
