Would anybody on here that may by going to the dyno soon want to test a custom ported truck intake /tb setup? Id pay all shipping, this intake would do the best on a h&c 5.3-6.0 and should stomp a stock intake, I will provide the gaskets as well , I will post pics of it later, and if any one is interested please pm or email me, engineguy383@aol.com thanks, Derek

Not even sure it would work on a truck but it is for LS motors

Take a look at this link it's the same manifold with a throttle body and if i'm not mistaken I think it even comes W/the fuel rails... It's in Houston though and i'm not sure on all the specs. I actually considered buying it myself. Hope it works out. http://houston.craigslist.org/pts/1595704758.html

It's actually a really good intake, I've spent some time with one and I really think it will produce a broad powerband, in the emc there is a 384cid Based L92 motor that made 602hp and 540+tq and at 3000 rpm was making over 450ft lbs, obviously a special motor but still one of better intakes for the money imho

I fixed the link to Hot Rod Magazine's 20 LS manifold test. Sorry to anybody that opened the old one to an index page.

Default Int

It would be nice to see this updated if
a shop could do it sometime, there's
a lot of new int's out there.

After watching Rich Holdener's video in the previous post, I found a video by 'Auto Guild'.
Pope hat port intake manifolds:
LS2-TBSS manifold (90mm 4bolt) - still available new from GM
4.8L / 5.3L manifold (75mm 3bolt) - will still be very common in junkyards long after GM stops selling them
Which of the above manifolds is used on 6.0L engines with pope hat port 243 / 799 heads?

LS2-'vette manifold (90mm 4bolt) no longer available new from GM
LS6 & LS1 (75mm 3bolt) no longer available new from GM

Rectangle port intake manifolds:
GMT900 manifold (90mm 4bolt) - all Gen4 6.2L, & Gen4 6.0L trucks using rectangle heads
LS3 manifold (90mm 4bolt) - get it while it's still available

According to this video, aftermarket intake manifolds can only outperform the rectangle port manifolds at 'high' RpM.
