Default Hydraulic Lifter Collapse @ High RPM

I was talking with a guy in my carclub ( another old school smallblock guy but he seems to know his ****) last night and we were discussing valvetrain vs. powerband. He said that i lose topend due to the fact that my lifters collapse at high rpm and get less lift. I thought these LSX lifters were more efficiant than that? I understand they might collapse a bit but seriously...WTF? Thoughts? Opinions?

If he is referring to non-roller I believe that is the case. Roller lifters can rev alot higher. That is why alot of Old-School guys used solid lifters if they are non-roller.

I forgot to mention, when i said high, i didnt mean THAT high. I shoulda been more specific. I was talking more around 5800-6700 (About Where the majority of guys here are pulling it up to.)

That is plural posession; as in more than one ****( +) having ownership of sake. But if it's one just one **** ( )having ownership then it would be ****'s of course.

Hydraulic lifters perform well to the 6500rpm range. Of course lobe profile, lobe lift, and spring pressure would effect all of that.
