The smaller cam will still be faster than the bigger cam. Even though your RPMs dont go below 3800, peak TQ is around 4800 where the big cam will suffer over the smaller more efficient cam. Pick a camshaft for sound will only get you so far.

listen to this man, a cam that big will kill you engine, especially in an ecsb truck. stick with something smaller, and just lower the lsa if you need too. but even with that I would just say stick with a tr224 or something similar. unless you have some amazing heads, and high compression you wont even see the potential of most the cams your talking about.

yea i understand you can get to big of cam for a motor but im new to the ls motors and what they can handle i was preaty sure i wasn't gonna gain jus wonderin how much i would lose

if you want the rumble just find a cam with a tight lsa, go on you tube and look up cammed ls1's and 6.0's to find a sound you like. keep in mind the exhaust makes stuff sound a little different.
