how strong is my ls2?

ls2's don't like boost so much, but can crank out some power with a little squeeze -- as already mentioned, more than the tranny will deal with.

They do love the boost, we made 747rwhp with a stock one on 110 and meth with a single turbo.

Order yourself up a decent stall converter and an FLT level V. That alone will gain you alot in the quarter. Build power from there.

That's interesting -- I've not boosted mine because of all the bad reports.

How long has that build been around?

Ah. Maybe I should have said "high boost"

I've heard from a couple of NY vette shops that they are "no good" for high boost and that they pull out the ls2s in favor of other blocks (iron, I'd imagine).

I duuno TJ's build put out a "little power" there, maybe these vette shops are just not so good with the tuning?

I think Cartek is a vette shop and they built a street driven single butt mount C5 that ran a 9.32 I believe...another pos sts though. Just remembered, they are in Jersey.

the stock bottom end will be good to around 500rwhp or so.
if your really gonna build this thing up you might as well start with the trans-FLT,RPM.
there's plenty of guys over yonder runnin boosted tbss's
here's a good one for ya-headers,efan,built tranny,2400stall, at 7psi

stock exhaust other than no cats
intake
c6 fan
drag radials
stall
fat 125 shot
gt2-2 cam
