i put a set of milled 706 heads off of an 05 5.3 on my 99 5.3. i only milled them .030 but now each valve is pushed 1/8 of an inch down when i torque the rocker down. do these heads need shorter push rod? this is my first time doing this so any help would be great.

 

Most likely yes. I would find someone with a push rod length checker to get the right length rods

 

Ok i got an adjustabe push rod but im not shur how much pre load the springs need. my stock ones are 7.4 and i adjusted this one to 7.35 and i can make about a half a turn yet on the bolt and its snug. does this sound like what i need.
