Yes they are. In 2001 the car intake was updated and put on both the LS1 and LS6. If you have an LS1 that is 01' and newer or LS6 (new for 01') they both used the same intake.

Ahh I see what you're saying....the LS1 got the LS6 intake manifold. But there still were two different manifolds, the original LS1 and the LS6.

Sort of, but the difference isn't the engine, it's just the years. Instead of LS1 or LS6 intake it should just be pre 01' and 01' and later. LS1 or LS6 had nothing to do with it. The car intake for 01' and later was that intake.

Local guy has a 6.0 bored .060 over. He dynoed last night with new heads and made 1000+rwhp.Here is a link.

Cool Hey me too on the spare 6.0s

Hey guys im a newbie at this site and was wondering if i could get some insite
and suggesstions on a build up for my 03 Silverado just to bring you to speed
and not trying to hijack the thread its just i dropped a 6.0 where my 4.8 used to be and need some help with the combo also have a set of L92s bare looking for 500 hp is it possible?????

i wouldn't go .060 over on a high hp set up. my 408 was just .030 over and split one of the cylinder walls after some extended use. for a high hp set up i would try and keep as close to the stock bore as posable.

+1 A thick cyl. wall never made a engine fail premature. It gives added strenght and makes cooling more consistant.

Jim I still cant believe you split that block, damn.......
